Originally built in 1910 for the Lone Star Bottling Company, The Warrant Building and grounds occupy about 20% of a rare, oversized city block in downtown Houston.  Today, The Warrant Building provides office space to professional service firms who wish easy access to Houston’s courthouses downtown, the Heights, I-10, and the Southwest Freeway.  Being walking distance from The University of Houston, The Heights Hike & Bike Trail, the Houston Metro, and The White Oak Bayou Greenway, there’s plenty of attractive sites nearby.  On the property, tenants enjoy a private, video-monitored parking lot; covered patio with fountain and lounging furniture; gated access for tenants and guests only; and museum-style displays through-out the building.  For example, in the building lobby sits an antique floor safe weighing nearly 2,000 pounds that was manufactured by the Hall Safe & Lock Co before World War I.  All the safe’s various compartments are open for viewing except one, which purportedly has not been unlocked or opened since 1939.
